Sledding!

It was finally warm enough last week to enjoy a little bit of time outside with Liam. I decided he needed to try sledding with all this snow, so I loaded him up and headed over to the West High hill... Just Kiddding! :) Here are a few pictures of us in the front yard. In true Liam fashion he was a little unsure at first but giggling by the end. Hoping for more nice days ahead!!

Also- I wanted to highlight Liam's stylin' winter boots... sandwich baggies with rubber bands! They worked great!

He loves his milky before bed. I took this picture because I was watching him drink his milk before bed one night and just couldn't believe how big he's gotten. We've come a long way Liam Patrick!



It was a cousin Christmas! Liam loved spending Christmas showing his new cousin Connor the ropes. Uncle Drew and Aunt Patti gave Liam and Connor matching Christmas PJ's for Christmas morning... Thanks Uncle D and Auntie P!

Birthday Boy Baumhover- Better Late Than Never, Right?!?!

A month ago tomorrow my sweet baby boy turned 1!!! Every mom says it- but it is so true, I can't believe how fast the first year flew by. At times it feels like he's still brand new but most days we just can't remember what life was like before him! What great joy he has brought to our family! We had our families join us for a party. Here's a recap of the highlights...

It's Official...

I'm a blogger!

I've enjoyed reading friends' blogs for several months now but had a few hang ups about starting my own.

First of all- I'm SO not creative and didn't think I could do one nearly as cute as all you bloggin' mama's out there!

Also- I feel like we live a pretty low key (dare I say "boring") little life and questioned if there was anyone who would really want to read a blog about the Baumhovers. But hey- I've wasted many a nap time reading random posts from a friend of a friend (of a friend, of a friend...). So I figure it's time to do my part and not just be a consumer in this new blogging world.

Lastly- I'm not very good at taking a lot of pictures but I'm hopeful that a blog will give me a good reason to document lots of our daily activities with a photograph. Because pictures are the best part of any blog, right?!?

With some coaching from a good friend (Thanks Lisa!) , I'm going to give it a try!

I'll stop with our latest family picture. This was taken up in MacGregor, Iowa on the Mississippi River. We went up with some friends to see the leaves and take a boat ride on their grandparents house boat. It was a beautiful trip to Northeast Iowa!
